Public Relations Student Opportunities
Students studying public relations at Carthage have many opportunities to enrich their education.
Real-World Professional Experiences
Carthage PR students get hands-on professional experience in their required courses. In Public Relations Writing, students partner with a for-profit business in southeastern Wisconsin to develop their social media calendar, write press releases, and create media content for the company. In Public Relations Campaigns, students work with a non-profit business in the area to help with a particular project or need, such as planning an event or reaching a new target audience. Students then build a full campaign for that company from the ground up. Companies can use the work produced by Carthage students to develop their brands or implement new strategies to meet their needs. Carthage students leave these courses with the equivalent of internship experience and portfolios to use when job searching.
